Women around Peruvian history

For a long time, women in Peru have played a fundamental role in the formation and development of our society. Despite all the challenges and barriers created by a pre dominantly patriarchal Peru, Peruvian women have left a significant mark in different fields and have made important contributions to the country. For instance, indigenous women have held essential roles within their communities, such as artisans, farmers, guardians of tradition, and at times, leaders. Their wisdom and knowledge of natural medicine and spiritual practices have been preserved throughout generations, and their influence continues to be seen today.
